A Resilient Park for Stormwater Retention

Miami Beach's empty former golf course (located at 2795 Prairie Avenue) is on its way to being transformed in to a beautiful 19-acre public park. Inclusive of a lake with scenic walking paths, an outdoor amphitheater, exercise equipment, a children's playground, a dog park, a butterfly garden, shady pavilions, and six tennis courts; the $15.7 million G.O. Bond project will greatly enhance the Bayshore Park neighborhood.

Also great for the flood-prone area is how the park lake was designed. With cutting-edge resilience infrastructure, the lake will function as a water retainer, helping to keep surrounding streets dry. Construction is expected to start in early 2021 with completion anticipated for late 2022. Check out the approved project renderings on this page below!
